Summon a Blinding Mist that impairs ranged attacks and hostile targeted skills and inflicts blind by chance to enemies.

Hostile skills against targets within Blinding Mist will fail by chance. When a skill fails this way, skill costs (e.g. SP and catalysts) are not consumed nor does the associated skill cast delay apply. Beneficial skills, e.g. Blessing, Increase AGI, and Heal, are not subjected to skill failure by chance.

Ranged attacks against targets within the Blinding Mists have a damage and HIT penalty. Damage from non-skill, and skill, ranged attacks are reduced by 75% and 25% respectively. All ranged attacks receive a 50 HIT penalty, with the exception of Shield Boomerang, Shield Chain, and Stave Crasher. The damage penalty is multiplicative with other sources of damage reduction and applies to all ranged attacks, e.g. Acid Bomb, Double Strafe, Meteor Storm, and Shield Boomerang.

Enemies that enter Blinding Mist are blinded by chance. Players are blinded until they leave the AoE. Monsters which are not inflicted with bleed, chaos, curse, poison, or deadly poison are inflicted with blind for 30 seconds.
