Detail

Rapid Smite damage scales with status ATK (i.e. ATK derived from STR, DEX, and LUK), shield weight, and shield refine. Like Shield Boomerang, the defense reduction takes place earlier within the damage formula which results in a larger "per hit" sDEF mitigation. Rapid Smite has a "bonus" damage component, which scales with shield weight, shield refine, and skill level, that ignores enemy defense. Rapid Smite has a +20 HIT modifier after all other hit calculations and consequently a 25% minimum hit rate.
