Throw Kunai damage is composed of two components, ATK and Ammo, which are calculated separately. The ATK component scales with user ATK and is modified by the elemental multiplier. The Ammo component does not scale and ignores enemy DEF and FLEE.

Although Throw Kunai is modified by the elemental multiplier, it inflicts neutral damage. This caveat is usually negligble, as it often shifts the multiplier to an earlier step in the damage calculation, but it can become significant when the enemy is ghost elemental. For example, consider an attack against a ghost 4 element enemy with an Icicle Kunai. The skill will fail to inflict damage because of the ghost element multiplier.
